Which squeegee is best?
Black rubber squeegees are designed to be used in the cleaning of windows by squeeging off the cleaning solution after scraping or scrubbing the windows. On the Handled Squeges page, the Squeegee and Channel (Pt007-010) in conjunction with an Unger Pro Handle (Pt006) is the best choice for cleaning flat glass. The Black Smoothie Tube Squee gees are the better choice for cleaning automotive windows due to the curva ture of glass. Harder durometer squeegees are needed to properly remove application solution from behind films. The Power Stroke Squegees (Pt066 -068), Super Clear Max Squeege (Pt061-Pt 062), or Blue Max Squee gees (Pt 058, 021), used in conjunction with an Unger Pro Handle, are all excellent for vehicular work.
Flat glass installers should use a Blue Squeegee Refill (Pt019) in a channel with the Unger Pro Handle (Pt006) to squeegee out the mounting solution on films up to 6 millimeters thick. The ergonomic Silver Security Squeegee (Pt 005) or a Pro Squeegee (Pt015 or Pt017) have been proven highly effective squeegees on both thicker security films and sputtered films.
